The brushes may be worn short. I put on a fresh pair of these on my Eurika vac and it now runs like the day I bought it, very good on carpeted surfaces. This cable management device is very solid. It's nice that it's all metal instead of having plastic parts. It was easy to install.

The large openings are nice since it's easy to place the cables. The metal cover is solid and stays in place even with a lot of cables in the device.

These new replacement bristles don't appear to be as stout as the original white bristles in the machine, but they do a good job on the carpet and they did not crack or split when deformed. After a little struggling to get the strips into the roller housing, they worked fine.
